Vantage Point
Photos by Scott Newell
We all have vehicles we dream about on a daily basis; that one ride that we know would be the ultimate addition to our garage. For some of us, it is the most expensive of supercars, and others it’s a mid-ranged basic ride. For Marc Campoleito, his dream as an adult was to own an Aston Martin Vantage, and as of May of last year, he became the proud owner of a black 2006 Vantage.
This is not Marc’s first step into the European market, having previously owned a 1979 Porsche 928, two Fiats X1/9s from the late 70s, and a 2001.5 Audi S4. And joining the Aston in the stable is a 1972 De Tomaso Pantera, his dream car as a child.
The black Vantage has transformed Marc’s driving experience since its purchase, making every trip a getaway in itself. From the looks to the sound and interior comforts, he loves to drive it whenever and wherever he can. Granted, the Aston is not a fan of slow traffic, letting Marc known through the random Check Engine Light that will appear when not going fast enough. Even the Vantage knows it’s meant for spirited driving.
Shortly after buying the Vantage, Marc took it on one spirited drive up to Evergreen, hitting the corners hard enough to go a bit sideways. As he went through one corner, he saw another car coming towards him. Instead of giving the common “stupid driver” gestures, the driver stuck his arm up and gave a big thumbs-up as Marc passed by. It was the recognition from this other driver that made him realize he had a car that was not only desired but respected on the road.
As a car guy to the bone, Marc loves to show off the ride, be it through local drives or shows. Unlike many of the higher end rides out there, the Marc’s Vantage is a common sight on the streets, and has made an appearance at many local gatherings, drives, and car shows.
The Vantage may be driven all over, but is also pampered to ensure the best look every day. Marc would like to thank the crew from The Man Cave for maintenance on the paint, as well as his family for putting up with his passion for his rides.

Such a beautiful car! Wish he would let his sister take it for a spin
Congratulations Marc on a dream realized.
So proud of you! It was exciting to see it win 2nd place in the Euro Category in Boulder.
